General Reconstruction & Build-Back in SW Florida

Restoring a property after disaster is a two-phase process: mitigation (stopping the damage) and reconstruction (rebuilding what was lost). Too often, these phases are handled by separate companies, creating handoff delays, scope disputes, and accountability gaps that prolong your displacement and frustrate your insurance claim. WrightWay Emergency Services is both an IICRC-certified restoration firm and a licensed general contractor, providing seamless reconstruction and build-back services after water, fire, mold, storm, and environmental damage throughout Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Fort Myers, Naples, and all of SW Florida.

Single-Source Accountability

When one company handles both mitigation and reconstruction, there is no gap between phases, no dispute over who is responsible for hidden damage, and no waiting for a separate contractor to provide a bid, schedule a start date, and mobilize. Our project managers transition seamlessly from the drying phase to the build phase, maintaining continuity of knowledge about your specific property.

In-House Trades

WrightWay employs skilled tradespeople directly — framers, drywall installers, finish carpenters, tile setters, flooring installers, and painters. This in-house capability means we control quality, scheduling, and costs rather than relying on subcontractor availability. For specialty trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing), we maintain long-standing relationships with licensed subcontractors who understand our quality standards and response-time expectations.

Reconstruction Services

Our licensed general contractor capabilities include:

  • Structural framing — wall framing, floor joists, ceiling joists, roof trusses, and header replacement
  • Drywall — hanging, taping, mudding, and texturing to match existing finishes
  • Insulation — batt, blown-in, and spray foam installation
  • Flooring — hardwood, tile, LVP, laminate, and carpet installation
  • Cabinetry — kitchen, bathroom, and custom cabinetry installation
  • Trim carpentry — baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and window trim
  • Painting — interior and exterior primer, paint, and specialty finishes
  • Roofing — shingle, tile, metal, and flat roof repair and replacement
  • Electrical and plumbing — licensed subcontractor coordination for system repair and upgrades
  • HVAC — ductwork repair, equipment replacement, and system cleaning

1. Scope Development

Working from the mitigation documentation, our estimators develop a comprehensive Xactimate scope covering every line item required to restore the property to pre-loss condition. We review this scope with you and your insurance adjuster to align on coverage before work begins.

2. Material Selection

You select replacement materials — flooring, paint colors, cabinet styles, fixtures, and finishes — with guidance from our project manager. Insurance typically covers “like kind and quality” replacement, and we help you understand where the policy coverage applies and where upgrade costs may fall to you.

3. Permitting

When the scope of work requires building permits — common for structural, electrical, and plumbing work in Sarasota County, Manatee County, and Charlotte County — we handle all permitting. Our familiarity with local building departments in Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, and the surrounding communities keeps the process moving efficiently.

4. Construction

Our in-house crews execute the work on a managed schedule with regular progress updates. The dedicated project manager for your job is your single point of contact for questions, changes, and status. We maintain clean, organized job sites and respect your property throughout the process.

5. Inspection & Completion

All permitted work passes municipal inspection. We conduct a detailed final walkthrough with you, create a punch list for any remaining items, and complete them promptly. Final documentation, lien waivers, and warranty information are provided, and we assist with insurance claim closure.

★★★★★
We were referred to WrightWay from our Condo representative. They were quick to the property to give us an estimate and started right away. Their work was well done, they were easy to communicate with, and sent pictures which were important due to the fact that we reside in Illinois. After talking to Clarence and Logan we were very comfortable giving them access to our property. They even made it look better!
★★★★★
I have had to work with WrightWay over the last couple of years for repairs to our roof. They have been amazing, acknowledging and coming by to check and repair our home. The initial inspections by Joe were very thorough and then all the follow up and drywall repairs done by Clarence and Ken were great! Our place was left tidy and the work done was great! Very happy with their service!

Teresa Diaz was AMAZING in just about every way. She immediately recognized issues, identified needed work, and worked above and beyond with budget concerns. Clarence called and was always cheerful, respectful and able to help schedule work at convenient times. Truly grateful for this team.
