WrightWay Emergency Services handles complex commercial restoration projects across Southwest Florida and beyond. From hurricane-damaged hospitals to flood-ravaged hotels, our CBC-licensed and IICRC-certified team delivers complete restoration : from emergency response through final reconstruction. Every project below involved full Xactimate documentation, direct insurance coordination, and a crew that stayed on site until the job was done right. Here are three recent projects that demonstrate what full-service restoration looks like at scale.
NTBH Hospital : Hurricane Exterior Siding Replacement
When a hurricane tore through Southwest Florida, the North Tampa Behavioral Health (NTBH) hospital sustained significant exterior damage. High winds : sustained at over 110 mph during the storm’s passage : ripped sections of siding from the building across roughly 18,000 square feet of exterior wall surface. The exposed sheathing and weather barrier were left vulnerable to continued rain events, and the facility’s ability to serve patients in a safe, climate-controlled environment was immediately compromised.
Our team responded within 48 hours of the storm clearing, beginning with a full structural assessment of the building envelope. Our project manager documented every section of damage with drone photography and thermal imaging to identify areas where moisture had already penetrated behind the remaining siding. The inspection revealed that wind-driven rain had reached the wall cavity in several locations, requiring targeted drying before new materials could go up.
WrightWay mobilized a crew of 12 technicians to strip all damaged exterior siding, inspect and remediate the underlying structure for water intrusion, install new siding across the entire building exterior, and complete a full exterior paint job to match the facility’s original specifications. The project required careful coordination with hospital administration to maintain facility operations throughout the restoration process : the hospital remained open and serving patients every day of the project. We phased the work wing by wing, using containment barriers to control dust and debris while keeping patient areas safe and accessible. The project was completed in 23 working days, on schedule and within budget, with full Xactimate line-item documentation provided to the hospital’s insurance carrier.
Ocala Hotel : Top-Down Flood Restoration
A catastrophic plumbing failure at an Ocala hotel caused top-down flooding that affected four floors and over 40 guest rooms. A supply line burst on the fourth floor, and water cascaded through ceilings, walls, and flooring on every level below for several hours before the source was isolated. By the time our team arrived, standing water measured two to three inches deep on multiple floors, and moisture readings behind walls were pegged at saturation levels. The property was forced to shut down entirely : every affected room was pulled from inventory, costing the hotel thousands of dollars per night in lost revenue.
WrightWay responded with a full-scale commercial drying operation within four hours of the initial call. We deployed 68 commercial air movers, 14 desiccant dehumidifiers, and a negative air system to manage airflow across all four affected floors simultaneously. Our IICRC-certified technicians performed daily moisture mapping using pin and pinless meters at over 200 documented checkpoints, tracking drying progress across every wall cavity, subfloor section, and ceiling plenum. The structural dry-out took nine days to reach target moisture levels verified by a third-party inspector.
Once the structure was verified dry, our reconstruction team demolished all water-damaged materials : drywall, flooring, cabinetry, trim, and fixtures : then completely rebuilt every affected unit. That meant new drywall, texture, and paint; new LVP flooring and carpet; new vanities, fixtures, and lighting in every bathroom; and new baseboards and door casings throughout. Each of the 40-plus rooms was restored to brand-standard, rent-ready condition. The entire project : mitigation through reconstruction : was completed in under 60 days, allowing the hotel to resume full operations weeks ahead of the owner’s initial expectations.
Commercial Fire Damage : Complete Cleanup and Demolition
Fire damage is among the most complex restoration work we perform, and this project was no exception. A commercial property sustained significant fire, smoke, and water damage from both the blaze itself and the suppression efforts that followed. The fire burned through approximately 6,000 square feet of interior space, and the resulting firefighting water : an estimated 15,000 gallons : soaked every material on the ground floor. Soot, char, and water had penetrated every surface in the structure, and the acrid smell of smoke had permeated materials two rooms away from the fire’s origin point.
Before any cleanup could begin, our team conducted a thorough hazardous materials assessment. Older commercial buildings can contain asbestos in floor tile, pipe insulation, and joint compound, and fire conditions can release those fibers into the air. Once testing cleared the structure, WrightWay handled the complete fire cleanup: removing over 30 cubic yards of fire debris, performing controlled demolition of fire-damaged structural elements including load-bearing headers that required temporary shoring, HEPA-vacuuming and chemical sponge cleaning all salvageable surfaces, and ozone treating the structure to neutralize embedded smoke odor.
Our team of 10 technicians worked the project for 18 days, coordinating daily with the property’s insurance adjuster and a structural engineer to ensure every decision was documented and every repair met code. We managed air quality monitoring throughout the process to protect both our crew and the neighboring tenants. The result was a clean, structurally sound shell ready for full reconstruction : delivered with a complete Xactimate estimate and photo documentation package that streamlined the insurance approval process.

Why These Projects Matter
Commercial restoration is not residential restoration scaled up. It demands a different level of coordination, manpower, and documentation rigor. Every project above required working around active operations or tight reopening deadlines, deploying commercial-grade equipment in quantities most contractors cannot source, maintaining full Xactimate documentation for six- and seven-figure insurance claims, and meeting building code requirements under the oversight of engineers and local inspectors. Our CBC (Certified Building Contractor) license and IICRC certifications in water damage restoration, fire and smoke restoration, and applied structural drying are not just credentials on a wall : they are the reason we can take on projects of this scope and deliver results that hold up to insurance scrutiny and code inspection.
Commercial or Residential : WrightWay Handles It All
Whether it is a single-family home with a burst pipe or a multi-story commercial facility devastated by a hurricane, WrightWay Emergency Services has the team, equipment, and experience to manage the entire restoration process from the first phone call through final walkthrough. We serve Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Naples, and communities across Southwest Florida.
