Commercial Reconstruction
Rebuilding businesses with minimal downtime.
What to expect from our Commercial Reconstruction team
Commercial Reconstruction in SW Florida
Commercial property damage disrupts revenue, displaces employees, and jeopardizes tenant relationships. The faster a damaged office, retail space, restaurant, or facility is reconstructed to code-compliant, occupancy-ready condition, the lower the total business interruption cost. WrightWay Emergency Services provides licensed general contractor commercial reconstruction throughout Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Fort Myers, Naples, and all of SW Florida – managing the complete rebuild from damaged structure to certificate of occupancy.
Commercial Properties We Reconstruct
- Office buildings – tenant improvements, common areas, lobbies, and multi-floor buildouts
- Retail and shopping centers – storefronts, back-of-house, and shared infrastructure
- Restaurants and food service – commercial kitchens, dining areas, hood and ventilation systems
- Hotels and hospitality – guest rooms, event spaces, pools, and back-of-house areas
- Healthcare facilities – ICRA 2.0 compliant reconstruction with infection control protocols
- Warehouses and industrial – structural steel, high-bay spaces, loading areas
- Schools, churches, and government buildings – public assembly occupancy reconstruction
- Condominium and multi-family – unit and common area reconstruction with HOA coordination
Why Commercial Reconstruction Differs From Residential
Commercial reconstruction involves complexities that residential projects do not:
- Business interruption pressure – every day of construction is a day of lost revenue
- Multi-trade coordination – electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, data/telecom, and specialty trades must be sequenced precisely
- Code and ADA compliance – commercial rebuilds trigger current building code requirements and ADA accessibility standards
- Tenant coordination – multi-tenant buildings require phased schedules to minimize disruption to operating businesses
- Healthcare ICRA protocols – healthcare reconstruction requires infection control risk assessment and STARC containment barriers
- Insurance complexity – commercial policies involve business interruption, building coverage, tenant improvement, and liability layers
1. Damage Assessment & Scope
Our commercial project manager inspects the facility, develops a detailed reconstruction scope, and prepares Xactimate estimates for insurance carriers. For large loss projects, we assign a dedicated project team.

We manage all municipal permitting, engineering reviews, and code compliance requirements. For structural damage, we coordinate with licensed engineers for stamped drawings and load calculations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common timing, documentation, and service questions answered in a clearer format so owners and managers can make confident decisions faster.
Yes, and this is one of WrightWay’s greatest advantages. We manage the entire process from emergency mitigation through final reconstruction under one company, which eliminates the delays, miscommunication, and finger-pointing that often occur when homeowners hire separate contractors for each phase. Our seamless approach saves time, reduces stress, and ensures consistent quality from start to finish.
Mitigation refers to the immediate emergency actions taken to stop further damage, such as water extraction, board-up, and structural drying. Restoration, or reconstruction, is the process of repairing and rebuilding the property back to its pre-loss condition, including drywall replacement, painting, flooring installation, and cabinetry. WrightWay handles both phases so your property is returned to the way it looked and felt before the damage occurred.
We make every effort to match your existing materials, including flooring, paint colors, cabinetry styles, countertops, and trim profiles. WrightWay’s reconstruction team sources materials from a wide network of suppliers and uses color-matching technology to achieve the closest possible match. When an exact match is not available, we present comparable options and work with you to select a finish you are happy with.
Reconstruction timelines depend on the scope of damage, material availability, and permit requirements. Minor repairs may be completed in one to two weeks, while full-scale reconstruction of heavily damaged properties can take several months. WrightWay provides a detailed project schedule during the planning phase and assigns a dedicated project manager to keep the job on track and keep you informed of progress.
Yes. Our licensed status also means that all reconstruction work is permitted and inspected, giving you peace of mind that repairs are done correctly and to code.
Yes. WrightWay manages the entire permitting and inspection process on your behalf. Our team prepares permit applications, coordinates with local building departments in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties, and schedules all required inspections. While having a new air conditioning unit installed in our condo, the technician accidentally set off the fire sprinkler head above the air handler unit in the closet. This caused massive flooding in our condo as well as the two units below us. Wrightway was notified immediately by our management company, wrightway activated an emergency response and they were on site within 40 minutes of the incident taking place. Upon their arrival, they began the clean up immediately with six employees and some managers on site. They began to extract water from our condo within 1 hour of the incident and began the process of drying out and mold mitigation of our condo and the two below us with high tech drying equipment. They responded for the next five days to check the drying out process in our condo as well as the two condos below us to make sure the process was working. After five days the drying equipment was removed and we were ready for the rebuild. The day of the incident, Wrightway removed every baseboard from the wall, cut out wet carpet padding and removed all appliances to expedite the drying process. Wrightway completed the rebuild and restoration of our condo in five days. The work and workmanship by the Wrightway employees was outstanding. The communication with Wrightway management team was excellent, they explained every part of the process and what was going to happen next which kept our anxiety level under control during this very trying time. During the five day rebuild the Wrightway employees arrived on time and were very pleasant and polite. They were all extremely accommodating to our needs during this very difficult time. I want to personally thanks these Wrightway employees as well as the unmentioned ones for a job well done, all of you went above and beyond. Chuck Mussa, Jeff Vargo, Lauren Zweifel, Csaba Sumegi, Fernando Hurtado and Teresa Dias.

Verify on Google →We had the best experience with Wrightway! We had a flooding incident from our AC system that seeped into the walls and under the laminate flooring. They were prompt, professional and did a great job drying out and cleaning up everything for us! We also had them do the repairs and we were 100% impressed with their work! Everyone we came in contact with in the office and into our home were respectful and knowledgeable. They worked with us on a great price! We can't say enough about a great experience during a stressful time! A special shout out to Alicia who was great to work with! Thank you all so much!
