What to expect from our Stucco Repair & Patching team
Stucco Repair in Southwest Florida
Stucco is the dominant exterior finish on SW Florida homes — durable in normal conditions but vulnerable to storm impact, settling cracks, water intrusion at penetrations, and surface failure where moisture has worked behind the system. WrightWay Emergency Services handles stucco repair across Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Naples, and surrounding communities — crack patching, storm-damage repair, water-intrusion remediation, and color-and-texture-matched finish work.
Stucco Damage We Repair
- Settling cracks — hairline and structural cracks from foundation movement
- Storm-impact damage — hurricane debris strikes, falling tree limbs, wind-driven impact
- Water-intrusion failure — bulging, soft, or efflorescent stucco where water has worked behind the system
- Cracks at penetrations — windows, doors, vents, electrical, plumbing penetrations
- Spalling and surface delamination
- Vehicle and impact damage — corner strikes, garage-door incidents
- Stucco-over-block vs. stucco-over-frame — both substrate types repaired with appropriate methods
Color and Texture Matching
The hardest part of stucco repair isn’t the patch — it’s making the patch invisible. WrightWay matches color, texture (sand, knockdown, dash, lace, smooth), and finish thickness so the repair blends. For older homes where match is impossible, we re-finish full elevations rather than leaving an obvious patch.
1. Assessment
Identify damage type, substrate, root cause (settling, water, impact), and any underlying repair required before patching. Water-intrusion failures are not stucco-only repairs — the source of intrusion has to be addressed first or the failure returns.
2. Demo & Substrate Repair
Loose or compromised stucco is chipped out to sound substrate. Lath repair, water-resistive barrier replacement, or block repair as needed.
3. Three-Coat or One-Coat System
Scratch coat, brown coat, finish coat — or one-coat synthetic system depending on the original spec and repair scope.
4. Texture & Color Match
Texture applied to match existing. Color matched and applied via integral pigment, fog coat, or full-elevation paint.
5. Sealing & Closeout
Caulking at penetrations, joint seals, and final inspection.
Insurance
Storm and impact damage to stucco is typically covered. Settling cracks and gradual deterioration are typically excluded. WrightWay is the restoration contractor — we provide Xactimate-formatted documentation showing scope and root cause so you and your adjuster can evaluate coverage. We do not handle or negotiate the claim.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common timing, documentation, and service questions answered in a clearer format so owners and managers can make confident decisions faster.
Yes, and this is one of WrightWay’s greatest advantages. We manage the entire process from emergency mitigation through final reconstruction under one company, which eliminates the delays, miscommunication, and finger-pointing that often occur when homeowners hire separate contractors for each phase. Our seamless approach saves time, reduces stress, and ensures consistent quality from start to finish.
Mitigation refers to the immediate emergency actions taken to stop further damage, such as water extraction, board-up, and structural drying. Restoration, or reconstruction, is the process of repairing and rebuilding the property back to its pre-loss condition, including drywall replacement, painting, flooring installation, and cabinetry. WrightWay handles both phases so your property is returned to the way it looked and felt before the damage occurred.
We make every effort to match your existing materials, including flooring, paint colors, cabinetry styles, countertops, and trim profiles. WrightWay’s reconstruction team sources materials from a wide network of suppliers and uses color-matching technology to achieve the closest possible match. When an exact match is not available, we present comparable options and work with you to select a finish you are happy with.
Reconstruction timelines depend on the scope of damage, material availability, and permit requirements. Minor repairs may be completed in one to two weeks, while full-scale reconstruction of heavily damaged properties can take several months. WrightWay provides a detailed project schedule during the planning phase and assigns a dedicated project manager to keep the job on track and keep you informed of progress.

View Google reviewsThe WrightWay Emergency Services team has been super prompt at getting back to us and coming out to our home following a water intrusion issue in our condo. They have responded and followed-up quickly and made us feel that they really care about remedying our water issue. Theresa called me before 6:30am following the previous evening rainstorm and resulting water leaks. She dispatched mitigation crews immediately who came out within the hour. Izah has been extremely patient and has such a positive attitude. My husband and I are impressed with his professionalism and respect for our home. We highly recommend WrightWay based on their service for us thus far.
Sadly our home flooded and a friend recommended WrightWay to come and do an inspection to see what further work we might need done to ensure we do not have mold growth. The team was able to come out same day. They were so helpful, honest and detailed. Hopefully we never need them again but if we do have any other emergency needs I will 100% be using them again.
Working with WrightWay for a rebuild after Hurricane Ian was a great experience. Derek Hayes, Scott Livingston, and Ian Leandry exceeded expectations and made the project run as smoothly as possible, with exceptional responsiveness and attention to detail.
