These are two different jobs, and they happen in order. Treating the colony stops the damage from getting worse. It does not put back the wood that is already gone. That second half is ours.
Kills the colony
Inspection, treatment, and clearance from a licensed pest control operator. We do not exterminate, and we will not seal active activity behind new finishes.
Rebuilds the structure
Damage assessment, structural framing and subfloor repair, then drywall, trim, flooring, and paint. We coordinate directly with your pest control company.
Why now
Flood moisture, then termites
Subterranean termites, the most destructive type in Florida, are drawn to damp, water-damaged wood. When Hurricane Helene pushed flooding across the region, it left moisture sitting in wall cavities, subfloors, and crawl spaces long after the water receded. That is exactly the environment a colony looks for, and the months following a major flood are when hidden damage tends to accelerate.
Older homes are the most exposed. Where newer Florida construction leans on concrete block, many established neighborhoods were built wood-frame. That includes much of Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor, and Port Charlotte, along with older pockets of Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Englewood, North Port, Fort Myers, Naples, and the historic streets around Tampa and St. Petersburg. In a wood-frame home, termites have a direct path into the studs, joists, sill plates, and subfloor holding the house up. Add a flood that soaked the framing and an active colony, and damage goes structural fast.

We open the affected areas, probe until we reach sound material, and rebuild to that line.

When damage reaches structural framing, we remove and replace the compromised members and reinforce or sister them where code and safety require. It is the same reconstruction work our crews perform after water, fire, and storm losses, applied to the patterns termites leave behind.

- Rebuild and finishDrywall, trim, doors, flooring, texture, and paint, matched to the rest of your home.
- Final walk-throughWe do not call it done until the home is solid, safe, and looks right.

A straight answer on coverage
Standard homeowners policies usually exclude termite damage, because insurers treat it as preventable maintenance rather than a sudden accident. Every claim is different, though, and damage tied to a covered event such as a sudden water loss can change how a claim is viewed.
WrightWay documents everything with photos, measurements, and a written scope, so you and your adjuster or public adjuster have a clear record to work from. We work alongside your insurance professional, but coverage decisions are theirs to make, not ours.

Termite damage repair FAQ
Do you exterminate the termites?
No. We are a reconstruction contractor. Your pest control company treats and clears the infestation, and we repair and rebuild what it left behind. You can find and verify a licensed operator through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Is termite damage covered by homeowners insurance?
Usually not. Most policies exclude it as preventable maintenance. There are exceptions, particularly when the damage connects to a covered peril, so it is worth asking your carrier directly. We document thoroughly so your insurance professional has what they need.
How do you know how much needs to be replaced?
We probe well past the visible damage. Because termites hollow wood from the inside, what looks like a small soft spot often runs along a joist or up a stud. We open the area, inspect until we reach solid wood, and scope the repair to that line.
Do I need to treat before you repair?

Can you match my existing floors, trim, and paint?
Yes. Finish matching is part of the job. The goal is a repair you cannot find later.
How long does it take?
It depends on how far the damage spread. A contained area can take a few days. Structural framing and floor systems take longer. You get a clear timeline with your written scope before work begins.
How do I confirm you are licensed?
Look us up. Florida contractor licenses are public and searchable through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
